Today is my last day at Xomnia. As I take a moment to reflect on the past two incredible years, a few personal highlights stand out:
- Falling in love with Polars and writing a book about it with my colleague Thijs Nieuwdorp:
Python Polars: The Definitive Guide - Helping our client Alliander completely overhaul their pipeline with Polars:
Advocating for more Polars at Alliander - Attending PyData London with a bunch of fellow data nerds:
Xomnia was well represented at PyData London 2024 - Speaking at PyData Amsterdam 2024 and PyData NYC 2024:
At PyData Amsterdam talking about how I hacked UMAP and won at a plotting contest Sharing what we learned by converting a large codebase to Polars at PyData NYC - The unforgettable company trip to Jordan:
Xomnia's 10 year anniversary trip to Jordan - Data & Drinks, karaoke nights, and countless walks along the Amsterdam canals
Xomnia has been an amazing place to grow, with smart, creative, and, most importantly, fun and kind-hearted people. I’ve learned a lot here, and those experiences will be valuable as I move on to the next chapter. I’ll share more about this soon.
